We are asking today for your support of the 3rd Annual ALS Awareness Day Fundraiser, in partnership with Jay Peak Resort, on March 2, 2019, in honor and memory of Jim Glabicky, who passed from complications of ALS in 2017.

Jim, originally from Marblehead Massachusetts, was an integral part of the Jay Community, a loyal Father, Snowboarder, Groomer, Race Car Driver, and all around Great Guy, among other countless talents.

Jim's unwavering great spirit throughout his time with ALS is what inspires us most. Right up until Jim passed, he maintained a smile and his trademark TWO THUMBS UP!! How one does that under his circumstances, is beyond us, but sticks with us to this day and always will.

Jim passed peacefully with his brothers and sisters, his partner Jo, and their son Olin by his side. Jo told us how the sky was a rage of turbulence as the time neared, and after Jim passed the surrounding rage subsided. We are comforted by this thought.

Also, we are holding a raffle, silent auction and other fundraising opportunities at Jay Peak on March 2, along with live music by New Motif, 4-7pm. As per Jim's wish, we will see that a portion of the proceeds goes to the Town of Montgomery Summer Music Series.

The money that we raise will go towards a mission that we can all get behind - a world without ALS. There is currently NO cure. Funds raised will go towards:

     --Continuing the 150+ research projects looking into the causes of ALS in hopes of developing better treatments.

     --Supporting patient services clinics, support groups, equipment lending, and transportation. 

     --Leading the way in helping to ensure the ALS community has proper access to care.
