Routes include sections of the Pinellas Trail, Fort De Soto and coastal roads.

All Riders: $50

All Runners/Walkers: $35

Persons living with ALS: Free, please email dklempner@alsafl.org for discount code.

Fundraising Minimum

All RIDERS 18* and older are asked to raise a minimum of $250 in donations, in addition to their registration fee, by the day of the event (December 9, 2017) to participate.  Fundraising for The ALS Association Florida Chapter is a very direct way of supporting our mission, but with each person you ask to support you, you are also spreading important awareness for ALS.  Fundraising is easy and fun -- and we are here to help you get started with tips and tricks to help you reach your goal!  And there's lots of fun prizes and incentives you can earn along the way, CLICK HERE to view.

*RIDERS 16 and under are only required to raise a minimum of $100 to participate in the event.

RUNNERS are not required to reach the fundraising minimum to participate, but incentives will apply for any participant that raises $250 or more!

About the Ride. Run. Roll to Defeat ALS

Check-In and Start Times

Registration opens bright and early at 7:30am so don't be late!  Here are the scheduled start times for each event:

9:00am - 25 MILE RIDE

9:30am - 10 MILE RIDE

10:00am - 5K RUN, WALK or ROLL

On the Route

When you check-in, you will get cue sheets for the ride.  The route will be marked, but you are responsible for navigating the route.  Please pay attention to the roads, directions, and cue sheets. Volunteer SAG wagons will be patrolling the route.  If you need assistance, give the standard "thumbs down" signal to indicate you need support.  Strollers are permitted on the 5K route.

Please note: SAG wagons are intended to provide support for mechanical problems, or injury.  They are not shuttles to get up a hill or on to the next stop.  Please be prepared to complete the route you begin.  If there is an emergency, call 911.  If you're not sure if you should call 911... CALL 911.  For other issues or concerns, please call the number on the cue sheet.

Route Markings

The route will be marked on the pavement with "Dan Henry Marks". These marks will be at all the intersections, turns or tricky navigation sites. Wherever possible, we will augment these marks with other signage and if possible, a volunteer to point the way. However, the Dan Henry Marks are not meant to replace you being responsible to pay attention and follow the cue sheets for the route.

The points where Metric Century and 25 mile routes intersect or diverge will be well marked, but please pay attention and follow our cue sheets.

Mechanical Support

There will be Bike Mechanics at the Starting Line and occasionally at a rest stop. Our volunteer mechanics can make simple adjustments, quick bike checks and fix flats. If your bike needs more serious work, the mechanic may be able to help you. Why not take advantage of pre-event bicycle inspections being offered by our Bike Shop Sponsors?

Please note: If the bike mechanics have to make significant repairs or provide parts to get your bike functioning, you are responsible for any labor or parts changes. Please have cash available or be prepared to make arrangements for payment.

The Ride to Defeat ALS goes on, rain or shine!  Please check the local forecast before the ride.  We will do our best to keep all participants in the know.

Jersey Orders

If you've raised $500 by the morning of the event, you can order your jersey at the Jersey Order table.  If you're not sure what size to order, please try on one of the samples.  You have until January 9, 2018 to raise funds to qualify for a jersey.

Day-of Registration

Breakfast (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM) and lunch (11:00 AM – 3:00 PM) are served at the Ride. Run. Roll to Defeat ALS.  Each rest stop is also stocked with goodies.

Route Markings & Maps

The routes will be marked in a color corresponding to the distance you are riding.  It will be posted on this site and also reviewed before each wave of riders departs.  Maps (aka cue sheets) will be available for download through the Participant Center and will also be at the maps table next to check-in and at the start line.

Safety Team & Ride Marshals

The Safety Team is there to assist all participants.  Expect to see them along the route and please heed to their instructions. These are very important volunteers, and like everyone, should be treated with respect.

Ride Marshals and Road Marshals will lead some groups of riders out.  If you’d like to be in one of these groups, please let us know.

If you are an LCI or have taken Traffic Skills 101, please contact us!  We’re recruiting Ride Marshals!  813-637-9000 ext.132.

Rest Stops

Rest stops are located throughout the routes.  The route maps will show the distance to each rest stop. We recommend stopping at each one, but not lingering too long. Each stop has someone trained in first-aid and is stocked with food, energy snacks, water, and sport drinks. Don’t forget to thank the volunteers and to scope out each stop. After the Ride, the riders will vote to award the Best Rest Stop. Thanks to all the great volunteers!

Finish Line

Once you cross the finish line, there’ll be plenty of food, music, and activities for the family.

After the Ride. Run. Roll to Defeat ALS

Stick around after the ride for an awesome Post Ride Party at Holiday Inn Harbourside with entertainment, lunch and cold beer. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted at the Ride.

A lunch will be served beginning at 11:00 am.  Lunch and one beer or iced tea is included in your entry fee as a Rider.  Non-riders may purchase lunch tickets here.  Any additional beer or soft drinks will be available for purchase.

Make the most of your trip!  Stay in beautiful Indian Rocks Beach for the weekend after the Ride to Defeat ALS.
