Registration and Participant Center FAQs
How do I register?
Have you ever participated in an ALS Chapter event in the past? If you answered
YES, then you have a username and password for our website! We recommend
logging in before you register to make the process easy for you. The system
will remember you and all of your past information, including edits to your
personal pages. If you answered NO, you will be prompted to create a username and password during registration. Select 'Register' on the home page to begin.
What are the costs involved, and
what do they provide?
There is a $30 registration fee ($35 after Aug. 17th) to participate in the Kimmswick 5K. This fee includes a t-shirt* (5K participants will receive a tech shirt) and box lunch from the Blue Owl.
*T-shirts are not guaranteed after Aug. 6th.
Where is the event?
The Kimmswick 5K is located in Kimmswick by the Blue Owl Restaurant and Bakery.
Where is parking for the event?
As you come down Highway K, you will be greeted by a parking attendant who will direct you to a convenient parking location.
What time does the event start and what is the schedule for the day?
Packet pickup and registration opens at 6:30 AM. See the full schedule below:
6:30-7:45 AM - Packet pickup & registration open
7:00-10:15 AM - 50/50 raffle & silent auction open
7:45 AM - Pre-race announcements
8:00 AM - 5K race starts
8:00 AM - Shopping in Kimmswick
8:30-10:00 AM - Free lunch from The Blue Owl,, beer & refreshments
8:45 AM - 1-mile walk & fun run start
9:30 AM - Attendance prizes & race awards
10:15 - 50/50 raffle drawing
10:20 - Silent auction winners announcement
Do I have to fundraise in order to participate in the 5K or 1-mile fun run?
No, you don't have to do any additional fundraising in order to participate in the Kimmswick 5K. There are prizes for anyone who wishes to fundraise. For more information visit the fundraising page.
How do I sign up to be a fundraiser?
During registration, you will be prompted to select your participation type. Choose "Fundraising 5K or 1-mile fun run participant" to receive emails about fundraising and be prompted to set up your fundraising page.
Will I get a t-shirt for
Yes! You'll receive a t-shirt when you check-in at the event. Please wear it as
it will help participants know that you're there to help.
Do I have to raise funds to
No. There is no fundraising minimum to volunteer, but those wishing to
fundraise can request an online personal page to help them reach their fundraising
