As most of you know, my Aunt Marjie has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is more commonly known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. There is currently no cure for ALS - and each and every day my aunt battles this disease.
In the past, I have asked you to join my team, Miracle for Marjie, and walk with me. Due to Covid-19, we are doing things a little different this year, and I’d be honored if you would consider doing one of the following:
1. For those that are comfortable walking with me, I will be leading a walk through Gonzales Canyon on October 17th at 4pm. At 4pm meet at the entrance to Gonzales Canyon on Sword Way. I expect our walk will take about 1 hour. After the walk you are welcome to come back to my house to enjoy snacks and beverages.
2. Alternatively, instead of walking together, you can walk on your own (to get exercise and fresh air!).
Also if you are able to make a donation, large or small, it would be very much appreciated. I am trying to continue to do my part to help researchers find a cure for this horrific disease – and the research would likely have applicability for other neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and more.
Thank you for considering supporting the ALS Association.
