My beautiful mother, Gladys Gonzalez, was an amazing woman. She was beautiful, independent, and full of life until.. ALS. My mother was diagnosed in July of 2009 and passed away August 9, 2010. In 13 months, this horrible neurological disease took away my mother. There isn't a day, that I don't need my mother and that my thoughts don't turn to her. I miss her every single day. I feel robbed of so many precious years. This is why I fight back!
The Walk to Defeat ALS car parade will take place on Saturday, April 10 at 8:30am pm at Vista View Park. Wear a royal blue shirt (my mom's favorite color) and come join us! If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation. No amount is too small. Funds are needed for research. At this time, there is no known cause or cure for this horrible disease. You never know if the life you save could be your own .
Decorate your car! This year we are using the Mardi Gras theme!
