Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal!
As some of you may know already, our father was diagnosed with ALS in January 2019.
Naturally, this has been an incredible struggle for our family to adjust to this horrific disease that has taken over our dad. Our lives have flipped upside down and we continue to live with the challenges that he faces everyday.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and even breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
The past two years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.
But, we can’t stop now. The key to a cure begins with you.
That’s why we’re walking. To change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To give those with this disease and their family piece of mind that there will be a cure, someday, soon.
Any contribution will help to reach our goal to find a cure and aid in research, and if you are around, come and join our team: The Kings.
Our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.
Much love,
The Reyes Sisters.
