- This will be our team's third year walking for a cure for ALS! Our team is named "B Kool" in honor my father, Paul Dentinger. He passed away on February 13th, 2017 after a courageous battle with ALS. B Kool was one of his favorite sayings. It was on the license plate of his red corvette. He drove that corvette until he couldn't drive it anymore. Last year our team raised $12,155! Thanks to all of you, his friends and family who love him so dear. It is a testament to the kind of man that he was!
Our first walk was in September, 2016., and my Dad walked along side us. He walked the entire mile, which was not easy for him as ALS was taking its toll on him. Last year, he was with us in spirit, and I know that he will continue to be with us spirit for every step, every phone call, every email, and every other effort that we made to raise money for this cause.
Thank you for helping us reach our fund raising goal! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS® or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.
Why We Need Your Help
What is ALS? It stands for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries
Thank you for your support. Together we can make a difference!
