Thank you for helping us to reach Patty’s Walk to Defeat ALS® fundraising goal!
In February 2016, Patty Snyder started to experience problems with balance and walking. After several months of doctors and investigating, she was incorrectly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After a year of fast progression, in November 2017, Patty was diagnosed with ALS. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe.
Why We Need Your Help
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, though support is bringing researchers closer to an answer.
The past two years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.
It costs an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
How You Can Help Us!
This is an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support Patty and others affected by ALS. We are dedicated in any way we can to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
We have set a very aggressive fund-raising goal for Team Patty, and we need your help. Please consider joining our team (“Team Patty”), or make a donation to help us reach our goal. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by ALS.
