Thank you for helping us reach our ALS 2020 Walk goals. Our mom, Michele, was diagnosed with ALS in January, 2011 and died in December 2014.
Our mom kept strong in her faith. Her strength and attitude were truly amazing to witness. We were so blessed on this journey through the people we met and the angels who loved and supported us. We were so lucky to have each and every one of you and could not have supported Mom the way we did without you. Thank you for everything over the years.
The ALS Association is among the many angels who have supported us. They greatly contributed to our support team and we consider them part of our family. The ALS Walk Fundraiser has 86.4 cents per dollar that goes directly to the local chapter and the services that they provide to those living with ALS and their families.
Our family greatly benefited from the services that ALS provided including:
-Support Groups
-Respite Care/Grant program
-Equipment loan closet
My mom did an interview once and at the end of the interview she said, "This illness is an impossible illness to deal with and they (the ALS Association) make the impossible, possible."
