14 years later, and we are still walking...BECAUSE WE CAN. Approaching 15 years ago, my dad started to loose his common abilities that we all seem to take advantage, like eating, talking, walking, and breathing. We have had low years in fundraising, but as I say every year, EVERY PENNY COUNTS. If you can spare a couple cents to help us in the fight to cure ALS, that would be phenominal. If you can't, we understand, and we hope that you can help us spread the word, and raise awareness.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Why We Need Your Help
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS doesn't know race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and what have you.
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
