We are at it again. We can't give up. Thank you, those of you for helping us reach our fund raising goal last year! Sadly, not all those in the above picture are still with us today. That's the tragedy of it all. So quick for some. Our team is committed to raising money to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatment and a cure. Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS® or choose a team member from the list and make a tax deductible donation to our cause.
Why We Need Your Help
If you didn't already know, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
ALS can strike anyone - even those who have always been fit. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, and we are only trying to help through this fund drive. You can too. Clinical trials are making immense progress, but it must continue. Please join the movement to fight this monster of a disease. Thank you.
