In Memory of Harry Schatz
On October 1, 2017, we lost a father, grandfather, husband, uncle, and friend to ALS. Harry Schatz was only 65; today (October 8th) would have been his 66th birthday. Although ALS stole his mobility, his independence, and his razor-sharp mind, he never stopped fighting bravely.
ALS is a horrendous, relentless, fatal neuromuscular disease with no known cause. It affects people from all walks of life. While we are starting this team very late in the course of fundraising, with only a week to go before this event, we are hoping to make a difference in the lives of those in the ALS community and raise awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. Please consider donating to our cause in Harry's name.
**Note: Initially, we built this team with the plan to walk. We realized shortly thereafter that it will be very challenging for any of us to walk so soon after losing Harry. We have committed to being virtual walkers and would welcome anyone to participate on our behalf or donate to our team. Thank you so much for understanding.
