Washington, DC Walk

Team Freelon - Design a World Without ALS

The DC Office of Perkins+Will is participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS in support of Phil Freelon.

Most in the DC area know Phil Freelon as the lead architect of the Smithsonian Museum of African-American History and Culture, but he is much more than that. In addition to being an amazing Architect, who was recently named one of Fast Company's 100 most creative people, Phil is a teacher, civic leader, advocate, and a mentor.

In 2016, Phil learned of his diagnosis with ALS, just six months before the Museum of African-American History and Culture opened. Since diagnosis, he has started the Design A World Without ALS foundation and has raised over $150,000.

We invite all friends of Phil Freelon to join us at the walk and bring awareness to this disease.
