Message from your Coordinator
Hello everyone! We are so thrilled you are joining us for the Walk to Defeat ALS! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have ANY questions!
This year, there will be two options for participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS: Walk Your Way or the Tribute Walk.
Walk Your Way is the virtual Walk solution to still raise awareness and funds for our ALS community without gathering in person. Teams utilizing Walk Your Way are encouraged to create your own Walk Day activities and participate by submitting your pictures and/or videos, where you’re walking, why you’re walking, how you’re celebrating, etc. Teams can Walk Your Way on the actual Walk Day, or any time before or after. We will live stream opening ceremonies virtually Saturday, September 25th at 10 a.m.
The Tribute Walk is our NEW way for teams to still go out and have a walking route. Instead of a one-day event, we will be placing professionally designed and printed tribute signs along an accessible walking route. These tribute signs will include messages of honor, love, support, and other dedications for those throughout our ALS community. Teams who wish to participate in the Tribute Walk will be able to do so any time while the route is set up. Participants are expected to abide by all CDC, state, local, and venue guidelines. Stay tuned for more details as we finalize location and the duration.
The Walk will be held at on Saturday, October 9, 2021!

Fundraising tools at your fingertips
We've Gone Mobile!
Your fundraising has gone mobile thanks to the Walk to Defeat ALS mobile & tablet app. Now you can fundraise on the go by sending emails, monitoring your fundraising progress and updating your page.
Only participants who've raised $90 will get a t-shirt. This benefit is awarded to individuals, not teams or donors, so make sure the donations to your personal fundraising record add up!
In addition to working toward one for yourself, you should spread the word to encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to earn their very own shirt.
Make sure you become of a fan of our Chapter on Facebook to receive information about fundraising contests, shout outs to outstanding teams and walkers, and important Walk Day details!
