Important Event Update!
Fundraising through the Walk drives bold and urgent innovation as we march together toward a treatment and ultimately a cure for ALS.
The Local Connection
Your participation in the Walk to Defeat ALS has a direct impact on people living with ALS and their families at the local level. Through education, support groups, access to care and advocacy, we are working to defeat ALS and provide hope to people living with ALS and their families.
Important Walk to Defeat ALS Update!
The ALS Association understands that many of you in our ALS community have questions and concerns related to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We are closely monitoring national government health agency guidance and consulting with our local and state health agencies. As always, our first priority is the safety and well-being of people with ALS, their families and caregivers, and our staff.
At this time, no Walk to Defeat ALS events have been cancelled and we are committed to following the recommendations of local, state and federal authorities. In the event that Walk Day does have to be cancelled or rescheduled, the funds raised in advance of the Walk will be even more crucial to the work of the Chapter. It is because of the funds that you raise through your personal outreach via email and social media in the months, weeks and days leading up to Walk Day that we are able to continue to provide the highest quality of service to the ALS community! Please keep spreading the word and raising support. And don't hesitate to reach out if we can be of any help! Contact Erin at 502-495-3673 or email@example.com.
