Dear Family & Friends,
Sharon and I are again participating in the Knoxville Walk to Defeat ALS on Oct 3, 2020. This year because of Covid-19, we are doing a virtual Walk through our neighborhood to raise funding to support those affected with ALS and in memory of those who fought the good battle such as our Dad Jonesy. Join us on Oct 3, 2020 in your own Virtual Walk and donate to help support our PALS ( People with ALS).
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
Please consider walking with us or donating to help us reach our fundraising goal. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of our PALS affected by this disease. I encourage you get your friends, family, neighbors and coworkers involved!
Join us and lets defeat this terrible disease; its already taken too many awesome folks who have had to fight the battle, and those struggling.
