Steps of Hope is committed to raising money to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatsments and a cure.
Please consider joining my team or supporting us by making a small donation. I formed Steps of Hope in memory and honor of a neighbor, Bruce Hall, who passed away from ALS.
With a zest for living, Bruce traveled throughout his life to find the “perfect wave.” He was a kind, caring person, talented master carpenter, and lover of books and animals. He also had a passion for cooking. As a dear friend to everyone he met, he was front and center when my mother-in-law passed.
Then, suddenly, a year after her passing, Bruce was diagnosed with ALS. In less than 12 months, he succumbed to the disease. It's still difficult to believe that someone with so much energy and vitality is no longer with us.
So, my team and I walk with many intentions: to honor Bruce and his memory; to bring help and hope to those living with the disease; to ensure that no one ever hears the words: “You Have ALS” again.
