Welcome to Team Tough Truckers! We are excited that you have found your way to our Walk to Defeat ALS Fundraising Page! Thank you for taking the time to explore our page and donate if you are able and willing! We invite you to consider walking with us as well and honor those that may have difficulty walking or can no longer walk at all! We walk for those who are unable! We also walk in memory of those that have lost their battle to this unique disease. This is Team Tough Truckers second year participating in the ALS walk and we are so excited to bring awareness to the disease and help raise funds to support research for ALS!
Team Tough Truckers journey with ALS began just a short time ago. On February 26th 2019 my dad, Dan was diagnosed with ALS after what seemed to be a long 5 months of not recovering completely from back surgery and countless doctor and specialist visits. We finally had answers. Although not the answers everyone would have hoped for - we had answers non the less and some frustrations with the "unknown" could be put to ease. We are a team of warriors who surround Dan, and walk beside him through life as we all learn to live and help him manage his symptoms and obstacles that come our way! I say OUR WAY because no one is every alone when facing life with ALS or any disease for that matter! This journey and diagnoses has taught many of the team members more about ALS and we continue to educate ourselves and learn daily so we can be better support for Dan and each other!
With this being our second year participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS we would love for as much support as possible! Weather that is supporting us financially through a tax deductible donation to The ALS Association right from this page, or joining us the day of the walk and support us by walking for those who are unable! We would appreciate all the support we can get! If you are unable to support us financially or in person by walking we would still love and appreciate your prayers! Pray for the event, the volunteers, the weather, and safety for all those involved. Pray our donations are used wisely and will make a difference and an impact on ALS and the ongoing research! Pray for those who are living with this unique disease and are unable to walk and pray for those families that have lived through this disease already and may have lost a loved one to ALS. Thank you in advance for your support and prayers we greatly appreciate each and every one of you! Nobody will every walk alone!
Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Our team is committed to raising money to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS® or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
That’s why we’re participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS. To bring hope. To raise awareness. To provide resources and services to families free of charge. To help unlock the mystery of ALS and find the key to treatments a cure. Will you join us?
Amyotrophiclateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
