This is year 15 for Team B3 to walk in honor and memory of Gary. That is a lot of years of donating and caring. During that time, we have raised thousands of dollars each year to support people with ALS and funding to continue the progress being made in research for treatment and a cure. In fact, in those 14 years, we raised $54,998. There is still so much more to be done - so we continued to walk as Team B3 again this year. Let's try to bring that total to $60,000
A little history of how we got our name: The first year as our captain, Gary named us Beyer's Beleaguered Bunch but after a great Walk and amazing contributions, he renamed the team Beyer's Bodacious Bunch. We have been Team B3 ever since. Gary was never able to join a Walk with the Bodacious Bunch because he died a month before the 2007 Walk.
Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS® or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.
Thank you for helping us reach our fund raising goal! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease and putting an end to ALS.
Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
Donate or Walk or better yet, do both, to honor Gary's memory and raise money for a cure.
