Thank you for helping us reach our "Walk to Defeat ALS" fundraising goal in memory of Tom Williams! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Our team is committed to raising funds to support those affected with ALS, like Tom, and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
Tom was diagnosed with ALS in January of 2018. That day changed his life and those of our family forever. Like so many other families, we had no idea what to expect or how much Tom would be affected by this horrible disease just trying to do the simplest of things. Over the past three years, Tom went from a forearm crutch to a power chair; from working full-time to having to retire at 63; and from enjoying playing tennis, running & swimming to not being able to care for myself.
Tom passed away on March 19th of this year...we miss him every day. Please consider joining our team or sponsoring us so we can make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
