Please help us make a difference for those affected by ALS. We are walking in memory of Jim Hoepker who went home to be with Jesus on February 2, 2014. While we can no longer hope to help Jim, together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease. Please join our team or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause. Thank you for helping us reach our goal!
You can honor Jim's memory by raising awareness through walkingor by making a donation. All funds raised through the Des Moines Walk go toward local patient services for families affected by this terrible disease and for much needed research. With your help, we can make a big difference for people affected by ALS.

Why We Need Your Help
Jim could no longer walk or use his arms. Towards the end, his breathing was severely affected, which caused him to lose his life. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS.
Military veterans have twice the risk to develop ALS.
There is no known cause or cure.
Money raised will support ALS families and vital programs.
