In December of 2017, Tim was diagnosed with ALS. His disease began with an unexplainable limp and progressed to him becoming completely immobile, and unable to speak or swallow, all within 20 months. He lost his battle with this cruel, relentless disease on August 23, 2019. During Tim’s illness, the ALS Association was there for us – every step of the way. They provided support and encouragement, equipment, resources, and also helped us to make contact with others who would provide even more assistance to us as we embarked on the unbelievably difficult journey called ALS. I am forever indebted to the ALS Association for all of their kindness and support.
Your participation in the Walk to Defeat ALS has a direct impact on people living with ALS and their families at the local level. Through education, support groups, access to care and advocacy, we are working to defeat ALS and provide hope to people living with ALS and their families. Thank you for helping to support the ALS Association.
