Running Farther for My FatherI remember running in Memorial Park with my dad, seeing all his bib numbers on his wall from dozen of races, and going to Austin to see him run the Capital 10k. He taught me to love running. After being diagnosed with ALS in Spring 2014, his days of running are now fond memories. In October I'll be running the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC., my first marathon and something I would never be doing if not for my dad. I want to fix his ALS so badly, but I can't. ALS isn't something that can be fixed, as of yet, but funding for research means hope for others, and right now, that's what we can do. So I'm turning this marathon into a fundraiser for ALS. If you can donate, every dollar counts. And if you can't, either learn something about ALS you didn't know, or pray.
