Media Outreach in Chapters' Service Areas
To promote the 75th Anniversary of Lou Gehrig’s famous farewell speech to baseball and The ALS Association’s research efforts to find causes of treatments and treatments and a cure for ALS, the national office’s media consultant will be doing media pitching in our chapters’ service areas beginning on Tuesday, June 17.

ALS Association Receives High Marks from Charity Watchdog Groups
The Association recently received the highest levels of achievement from two different independent charity watchdog groups, Charity Navigator and GuideStar.

• To date, roughly 65 percent of email addresses on file originated related to Teamraiser events. • YTD, Walk has raised $4,595,086 which is 19.2 percent greater than the same time last year. o The average amount raised per Walk participant is up 27.4 percent over April of last year for an average of $186 per participant. • We saw an increase in honor donations in Recurring Gifts revenue: this April there was 344 percent increase in honor gift sustaining dollars.
