One of The ALS Association’s core values is collaboration. Cohesive efforts with others who have a shared vision and values are key to sustained success in the fight against ALS. It is essential to stand together as a united front with partners from academia, industry, non-profits and government to make the strongest fight against ALS.
Under the leadership of our Executive Vice President, Mission Strategy, Neil Thakur, Ph.D., strategic partnerships are created between academic scientists and between academic scientists and key leaders in biotech and pharmaceutical companies to encourage sharing of not only innovative ideas, but also research data to eliminate replicative work. Despite a commonly competitive research environment, the ALS community as a whole understands that working together is imperative for advancing.
