Teresa Kiser - St. Louis Chapter

Teresa and her husband were looking forward to their daughter's college graduation, celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary and spending more time together when she was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.




Steve Franks - Florida Chapter

Despite being stricken with ALS and his family left devastated by the disease, Steve is passionate in his fight to educate the public about Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He travels from city to city with a display called “Piece by Piece” where mannequins represent people who have succumbed to ALS.



William Lauer - Keith Worthington Chapter

William enjoyed an active, vigorous life filled with adventure and exercise and now finds it to be a challenge to eat and get dressed.






Jenny Dwyer - Evergreen Chapter

Jenny is in awe of her husband, Pat, for his strength and courage in facing ALS. Pat's never-give-up-hope attitude keeps his family motivated to find a way to defeat ALS.





Fred Nix - Louisiana Chapter

Fred has an amazingly positive attitude for a man with ALS, who has already lost his father to the disease and wonders if his daughter will be next.






Stuart Obermann - Alabama Chapter

Stuart’s son Eric was diagnosed with ALS in his late teens, yet Eric spent his remaining years raising awareness about the disease. The family continues to fight Lou Gehrig’s Disease in honor of his courage and commitment.




David Buchannan - Sacramento Chapter

When David was diagnosed with ALS, he was shocked to learn that there is no cure or effective treatments.
