Max's Ride for ALSFundraising Honor Roll
Since 2002 when Max Harrison was diagnosed with ALS, his mission was to raise awareness and FUNds for ALS. He fought his battle for four and a half years. Now we continue the fight in his memory and to honor the far too many who continue to fight or have lost their battle to ALS.
In 2007 an incredible group of Volunteers got together and started Max's Ride for ALS. What began as a beautiful ride through the Texas Hill Country has now evolved into a Ride and Concert with a super fun after party.
Our Volunteers work tirelessly with our Community through out the year to raise our annual donation to the ALS Association Texas Chapter. We participate in BBQ's, Gift Wrapping, Car Shows and a Chili Cook Off. If their is a way to raise awareness and funds for our ALS Community, we try hard to be there!
Our amazing donors have supported the Fight to Strike Out ALS for over 11 years. Most recently, we are so honored to be the Charity of Choice for a wonderful couple Debbie and Brad. This couple has been part of Max's Ride ALS since 2011 and have a personal connection. Debbie lost her Mother-Doris Shank to ALS. They have chosen Max's Ride ALS to be part of their wedding celebration. We can't thank them enough and wish them many years of happiness together.
Their is currently NO cure for ALS, and that is just unacceptable for a disease with a life expectancy of 2-5 years. Our Military Veterans are being diagnosed at two times higher than the average population.
